vaccinia
enfermedad infecciosa del ganado vacuno causada por un poxvirus que puede ser transmitido a los seres humanos por contacto directo o por inoculación deliberada como protección frente a la viruela. Se desarrolla una pústula en el lugar de la infección, habitualmente seguida de malestar general y fiebre de varios días de duración. Al cabo de 2 semanas, la pústula se transforma en una costra que finalmente se desprende, dejando una cicatriz [ICD-10: B08.0]. Puede ser de carácter congénito [ICD-10: P35.8]
